Most immediate/ Most urgent To Chief Minister Balochistan Secretary, Higher education balochistan Commissioner mekran Division Sir An advertisement has been floated for appointment of Principal, Shaheed Buledi Higher secondary school, Buleda by Commissioner Makran wherin the upper age limit is 50 years and requisite qualification is Master degree with 1st division. Once an advertisement is floated, its the responsibility of competent authority to shortlist candidates as per settled advertisement criteria. It is observed that many candidates having age more than 50 years have been called by Commissioner Office to attend written test and interviews on 19/20.08.2024 which is clear violation of advertised criteria and merit. Chairman BOD and recruitment committee is bound to follow advertised criteria in all circumstances. It is requested that secrutiny may be done and only eligible candidates may be interviewed and selected. The applicants having age more than 50 and not having 1st division in master degree may be rejected as its against merit, justice and advertised criteria. The apex supreme court and Balochistan high courts also discouraged the appointments beyond advertised criteria and dozen of judgements are available in which it is held that "department is bound to ensure justice and merit in recruitments and once a criteria is settled in advertisement, department himself cannot violate and department is bound to follow such advertised criteria in all circumstances.
